Opportunity:
In support of our business, we are currently seeking a Technical Consultant to work within the Implementation Services arm of the HID Global Professional Services team. You will be actively engaged in some of the most complex and challenging Physical Identity and Access Management projects in the world. You will work in a dynamic environment with customers and partners as well as members of the worldwide Professional Services team and other HID Global departments.
Overview:
The ideal candidate will be able to work in multiple project teams simultaneously and take on tasks such as integration, deployment, testing and documentation of complex HID Global Physical Identity and Access Management solutions for physical access. Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Provide overall technical support for a customer engagement for the duration of a project.
Design and manage the technical architecture of the project. Design interfaces, define integration workflows and prototype solutions using HID SAFE products and other systems in the customer environment.
Create detailed technical design specifications, use cases and work closely with the customer team to deploy solution from design to user acceptance.
Work closely with development architect, development team, quality assurance to translate customer requirements and assure quality of delivery.
Reviews and provides feedback on business / technical specifications.
Collaborates with customer / Implementation team and owns test case scenario document.
Build RS environments that replicate client environments.
Validates packages coming from Core Engineering or Implementation consultants.
Validate hot fixes coming from Engineering before releasing it to Implementation consultants.
Builds and Runs automation testing scripts.
Leverages tool to report on bugs/issues with delivered package using approved test cases.
Owns release management process and Signs-off the release’s development packages.
validates bugs reported by client after release, update test case scenarios and send back to TC for fixing.
Can get involved in troubleshooting package install on client environments.
Work closely with Project Manager to meet project milestones, provide periodic updates and help in identifying solutions and reduce risks for the successful implementation of the solution.
Ensure smooth go-live transitions by following HID SAFE method of procedures.
Transition customers to support and make sure the transition is smooth and seamless.
Identify opportunities to improve the system and disseminate client feedback to the relevant departments within the organization.
Contribute to an environment that fosters collaboration and teamwork through sharing experiences, information, perspectives, skills, and expertise.
Actively participate in the ongoing improvement of the HID SAFE product suite and the services implementation methodology to build and share repeatable processes and quality deliverables that may be leveraged across multiple projects to increase speed and reduce costs.
Be a mentor and coach to other team members.
Contribute to the collective learning of HID, seeking opportunities to identify and disseminate improvements to organizational methodology, processes, and practices.
Contribute to the consultant toolset by identifying trends and support internal documentation, development projects, and process improvements.
Education Qualifications and/or Experience:

Strong inter-personal and communication skills in both spoken and written English to all management levels
BSc (or equivalent education) in Computing, Physical Science or Engineering or at least 5+ years of relevant industry experience, comfortable with business and technical aspects.
Advanced technical and troubleshooting skills.
Motivated, hard-working team player with initiative and able to self-manage.
Good understanding of database schemas, queries, and data migration
Able to provide occasional support outside regular business hours.
Strong business process, time management and analytical skills are essential.
Programming fundamentals & experience with relational databases and data analysis is a plus.
A familiarity with cloud-based and on-premises applications and architectures – web services, APIs and XML/JSON data structures is a plus
Ability to travel as needed.
Language Skills:
Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
