Unilever’s Cyber Security organization is a multi-disciplinary team responsible for protecting the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of our Information and Operations. Our Cyber Security organization runs a 24×7 Security Operations Centre, oversees a robust Security Architecture and associated technology landscape, provides Cyber Security Solution Engineering and risk advisory to our business, and assesses the security posture of our vast technology estate, including factories, to name but a few areas. Cyber Security sits as part of the Business Operations organisations, as a peer to Unilever’s Technology and Data functions and the broad Supply Chain agenda. Cyber Security is tasked with elevating, reporting on and influencing enterprise cyber security risk mitigation across Unilever. The Cyber Security function is made up of the Governance, Risk, Assurance, and Compliance (GRAC) team, the Tech & Ops team, the BISO teams and the Office of the CISO.

MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
As a Product Owner for Collections and Credit Portal, you will play a crucial role in driving the development and enhancement of our organization’s collections and credit management solutions. You will collaborate with market and cross-functional teams, including engineers, data analysts, and stakeholders, to deliver effective and efficient collections and credit strategies that align with business goals. Your role will involve gathering requirements, defining product roadmaps, and ensuring successful implementation of the Collections and Credit Portal.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Product Strategy:
Develop a deep understanding of the collections and credit management landscape, including industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends.
Define the product vision and strategy for the Collections and Credit Portal, aligning it with business objectives and customer needs.
Identify opportunities for innovation and optimization in collections and credit management processes.
Product Planning and Roadmapping:
Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders and analysts, to gather requirements and translate them into clear product features and user stories.
Create and maintain a prioritized product backlog, ensuring that it aligns with the product vision and business goals.
Develop and communicate the product roadmap, highlighting key milestones and deliverables.
Agile Development and Execution:
Work closely with engineering teams and other stakeholders to ensure successful product development and timely delivery.
Provide clear and actionable direction to the development team, including defining acceptance criteria and resolving any issues or blockers.
Conduct regular product demos and gather feedback to iterate and improve the Collections and Credit Portal.
Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate with key stakeholders, including collections managers, credit analysts, and compliance teams, to understand their needs and incorporate them into the product roadmap.
Communicate product updates, progress, and timelines effectively to stakeholders and senior management.
Act as the primary point of contact for any product-related queries or issues.
Product Performance and Optimization:
Monitor and analyze key product metrics, user feedback, and market trends to identify areas of improvement.
Collaborate with data analysts to gather insights and make data-driven decisions to optimize the performance of the Collections and Credit Portal.
Continuously iterate and enhance the product based on user feedback and evolving market requirements.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business, or Finance). A master’s degree is a plus.
Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, preferably in the collections and credit management domain.
Strong understanding of collections and credit management processes, including debt recovery, credit risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the product development lifecycle.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of industry-standard collections and credit management software and tools is desirable.
