Job Discription
- Supporting hardware validation, Voltage optimization and Thermal characterization on silicon for various System and IP cores (CPU, GPU, NSP, MM, Memory etc.)
- Perform detailed analysis of operating Voltages for SoC Rails and optimize them using QCom IP core
- Perform Rail-wise Voltage analysis across Auto temp range and Split parts
- Analyze Current, Voltage and overall, Power using Power Measurement tools for SoC IP cores using different workloads.
- Detailed analysis of Platform Thermal using on-die and on-board thermal sensors and corelate them against the design estimates.
- Analyze and optimize Platform Thermal using various Thermal mitigation knobs in SW and Thermal solution in HW
- Debug System level Power and Thermal issues which require a good understanding of SoC Architecture, Active/Idle system Power concepts, System Thermal with different HW/SW solutions etc.
- Develop Automation framework for Voltage and Thermal tests using Python
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4+ years of industry experience in the following:
- Bachelors degree in Computers or Electronics Engineering.
- Experience working on any ARM/x86 based platforms, mobile/automotive operating systems and/or Power/Thermal measurement tools.
- Good understanding of Computer Architecture and SoC Cores (CPU, GPU, NSP, Memory, etc.)
- Experience in Python scripting to work on Automation of tests
- Must be quick learner and should be able to adapt to new technologies.
- Preferred Qualifications Additional skills in the following areas are preferred:
- Ability to create professional quality reports and slides using MSOffice or any advanced visualization tools.
- Candidates with Power and Performance experience is preferred
- Experience in PoC development and competitive analysis.
