Job Description
Purpose of Role
The AI lead will oversee the development and delivery of products & tools that leverage artificial intelligence (Gen-AI) to drive business & marketing efficiency, complement & enhance traditional methods and create value. He/She will combine technical knowledge, business acumen, and functional requirements to guide the product/tool vision, strategy, and execution. They are required to work across multiple teams and stakeholders, including Brand, MDS (Mondelez Digital Services), I&A, R&D, Innovation, external vendors, and business leaders.
AI Lead will play a vital role in bridging the gap between technology and business, and between AI and functional users. He/She will translate the potential of AI into tangible and meaningful products that solve real-world problems and deliver value to users and stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
Defining the AI strategy & usecases : This involves determining how AI can best serve the goals of the entire marketing team (including support functions). It entails identifying opportunities where AI can create value and aligning these opportunities with the company’s objectives.
Prioritizing AI features and capabilities : Decide which AI functionalities should be developed and when, considering factors like technical feasibility, cost, user impact, and function roadmap.
Drive Creative Excellence : All Gen-AI initiatives should aid brand & marketing teams to push the bar on creative excellence. The AI lead should be able to assist brand teams by identifying AI use cases in existing planning & execution process and drive impact & efficiency.
Data management : Responsible for overseeing the collection, annotation, and management of data used to train AI models. This includes ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
Model selection and tuning : Work closely with data scientists and machine learning engineers to choose the right machine learning models and fine-tune them for optimal performance, a critical component of AI product development.
User experience design: Collaboration with partners & functional owners to create user interfaces that effectively communicate AI-driven actions to users. This entails striking a balance between transparency and simplicity in user interactions.
Monitoring and maintenance : Responsible for the ongoing monitoring of AI models’ performance. Ensure that these models adapt to changing data and user behavior, and they must be prepared to address issues promptly.
Ethical considerations : In the realm of AI, ethical dilemmas are prevalent. AI lead to navigate these dilemmas to ensure fairness, transparency, and privacy in AI-powered products. They are often responsible for developing guidelines and best practices to uphold ethical standards.

Preferred Education and Career Experiences
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field. Currently working in the AI field or has relevant experience in the AI field.
7-10 years of experience in a platform development/software development, solution-based product/platform leader in consumer facing businesses or technology firms.
Team management experience
Must have delivered/worked on best-in-class consumer facing tech products in the past.
Excellent knowledge of programming languages, knowledge of code versioning tools & databases
Excellent project management skills, solid analytical and debugging skills
Key skills and Competencies
AI Knowledge : A deep comprehension of AI concepts, algorithms, and technologies is a basic necessity. AI Lead must be able to talk with data scientists and engineers smartly.
Data Skills : The skill to handle data is central to AI product development. This involves data gathering, analysis, and interpretation. AI Lead should be skilled at comprehending and managing data pipelines.
Strategic Planning : The ability to devise and communicate a coherent product strategy that matches business goals is vital. AI Lead must have a vision for how AI can create value for the company and its users.
Communication Abilities : Efficiently explaining complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders and users is an important ability. Clear, brief, and understandable communication is crucial to building trust and ensuring a common understanding of the product’s value.
Cooperation : AI product development is inherently interdisciplinary, requiring cooperation with data scientists, machine learning engineers, designers, and other team members. AI lead must be great at cross-functional teamwork and aligning diverse skill sets toward a shared objective.
