Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM Cloud Infrastructure organization is looking for an experienced, innovative Offering Manager to join the team responsible for the IBM Cloud Infrastructure portfolio and play an important role in IBM Cloud Backup/Disaster Recovery as a Service offering. This role will be focused on working with our eco-system partners and building backup/DR solutions for enterprise workloads like SAP, VMware, HPC etc. As an offering manager, you will act as an entrepreneur, strategist, technical visionary, cross-functional team leader, and client advocate. Responsibilities include define and delivering on a differentiated roadmap, building relationships with key stakeholders and internal cross-functional teams including sales, pricing, and work closely with engineering to drive offering strategy and execution, and tracking and monitoring the progress, risks, and outcomes of your product deliverables. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in product management and an understanding of the cloud infrastructure market or traditional compute hardware and workloads
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Overall 10+ Years’ experience
At least 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager in B2B or Cloud businesses (SaaS, BaaS, PaaS or IaaS products)
Experience as a Product Manager in the past with deep experience in cloud technologies, IT/Storage Infrastructure products or services
Experience developing or launching products related to Infrastructure and Storage management for Cloud/SAAS companies.
Understanding of cloud platforms and cloud buyer journey
Understanding of cloud consumption and technology models such as pricing and utilization
Experience in leading cross-org products
Hands-on, data driven approach and an ability to work concurrently on several projects
Strong communication and presentation skills
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Knowledge of AWS or Azure IaaS platform
Experience with open-source storage technology like Ceph
Experience with Data Protection products – advantage
Understanding of building cloud applications in an enterprise environment
Experience driving product vision, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions
Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Sales, Customer Support, Finance, or Marketing
