Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Program Manager to join our banking institution. As a Senior Program Manager, he will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating complex projects and initiatives that require a deep understanding of technology, processes, and finance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization’s technology-driven initiatives and help shape the future of the banking services.
This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, along with an ability to effectively manage IT projects, will be instrumental in driving strategic initiatives, optimizing financial processes, and ensuring successful project delivery
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership:
· Develop comprehensive program plans, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.
· Oversee program budgets, financial forecasting, and resource allocation, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines and project plans.
Stakeholder Management:
· Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, operations, and other relevant departments, to define program requirements and priorities.
· Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives, business leaders, and external vendors, ensuring effective communication and alignment of program objectives.
· Provide regular updates and reports on program status, financial performance, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders at all levels.
Program Execution:
· Lead the end-to-end program lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring effective project planning, execution, and monitoring.
· Identify and manage risks and issues that may impact program timelines, financials, or deliverables, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
· Monitor program progress and performance against established metrics, making necessary adjustments to ensure successful outcomes.
Team Management:
· Lead and mentor a team of program managers and project staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
· Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration.
· Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members, recognizing achievements and addressing areas of improvement.
Financial Expertise
· Strong financial background and expertise to drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities for IT projects , initiatives and Operate costs.
· Collaborate with finance /COO teams to develop and manage program budgets, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and cost control.
· Evaluate financial implications of program decisions, providing recommendations and guidance to optimize financial outcomes.
Required Experience
· Proven experience of 15- 20 years as a Program Manager or similar role within the banking or financial services industry.
· Strong knowledge of technology platforms, operations processes, and financial management principles within a banking environment.
· Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, complex programs with multi-disciplinary teams.
· Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and achieving program objectives.
· Experience in managing regulatory compliance and risk management aspects of projects is highly desirable.
· Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are preferred.
Education / Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s / Engineering degree in a relevant field is required; an advanced degree is a plus.
