The Talent Acquisition team implements the organization’s recruitment strategy so that job vacancies are quickly filled, new employees are smoothly integrated into the organization and the candidates selected best match the needs of the position and the business. Recruitment activities may include advertising, interviewing, testing, selecting candidates; checking references; negotiating employment offers; relocation; orientation and introductory training.
This role in summary
The Professional Recruiter develops and oversees the execution of the end-to-end recruiting processes, while ensuring superior candidate and Hiring Leader experience. In addition to advising and consulting the business on the overall strategy, they oversee the sourcing, screening, and interview processes in order to acquire the best quality candidates at the right time with greatest speed. The Professional Recruiter is a talent champion who actively stays connected and can energetically sell the role and the Whirlpool brand to candidates.
Your responsibilities will include
Identifying future hiring needs and developing job descriptions and specifications.
Develops targeted sourcing plan/strategy in conjunction with the Hiring Leader, TA Director, Sourcers, and Manager(s)
Enacts broader TA recruitment strategy to ensure delivery of qualified and diverse talent
Acts as a Recruiter SME to provide functional and industry expertise particularly for specialized roles or positions
Delivers exceptional relationship management with Hiring Leaders, candidates, internal stakeholders, and vendors
Manages and owns screening, assessment, interview, and offer process activities for the regional/functional segment, ensuring superior candidate experience
Attract suitable candidates through databases, online employment forums, social media, etc.
Assess applicants’ knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions.
Works with Hiring Leader to gather key input for candidate slates, and provides feedback on candidates and influences hiring decisions
Updates and posts jobs, manages requisitions, and dispositions candidate
Structures new offers, works with compensation team to determine appropriate package, negotiates offer, and makes offer edits as necessary
Communicates proactively and in a timely manner with candidates, providing details on the selection process and Hiring Leader feedback
Partners with employee relations, legal, background check, etc. to provide full service to candidates and Hiring Leaders
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
6-8 years of related recruiting experience
Experience utilizing current TA technologies (CRM and ATS)
Experience in recruiting entry level to manager level roles
Excellent interpersonal skills
Preferred skills and experiences
Previous experience in Non IT hiring (Sales, manufacturing, service, etc roles)
Well acquainted with end to end recruitment lifecycle from sourcing till onboarding
Firm understanding and implementation of recruiting metrics to drive decision-making
Proficient in using company software, databases & external job platforms to connect with and reach out to potential candidates
Ability to interface with candidates in an engaging and persuasive manner
Ability to partner with, advise, and influence Hiring Leaders to foster long-term relationships
In-depth knowledge of the TA landscape in the industry
Experience filling business critical roles
Experience of working with a diverse team and striving for fairness in hiring with equality.
