As a Sr. Project Manager, you will be accountable for the management of projects from initiation to closure. You are responsible to organize, direct, manage, control and execute the activities of assigned projects/programs in order to ensure that projects are completed on time, within the approved budget, and within stated strategic and business goals and objectives. You will partner closely with business, technology, and other support partners to ensure successful execution. You will excel at creative thinking and problem solving; be self-motivated, confident, organized and ready to work in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
Job Responsibilities
Manage a team of senior project management professionals to strategize, provide direction and create successful career paths.
Act as the change agent in the identification and execution of initiatives, and identify project risks and resolve project conflicts
Facilitate meetings and working sessions and conduct business analysis, process mapping, and process re-engineering where needed.
Be responsible for monitoring the details and status of projects, prepare standard and ad hoc updates and reports, identify and resolve project issues, effectively escalate decisions and issues, and establish quality measures and standards that ensure milestones are met, projects are successfully executed, and stated benefits are realized.
Build Charters, Business Requirements, test plans, project plans to support execution of assigned projects
Ensure projects are completed according to time and budget schedules, and that objectives conform to line of business’ standards, operations objectives, user requirements and client’s needs.
Effectively manage project scope / changes, functioning as an escalation point to ensure impact is communicated and approved.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Requires minimum 5 years project management experience
Proven excellent people management and people development skills
Must have strong Project Management discipline, techniques and planning skills
Demonstrated ability to manage and execute projects of small to medium sizes and complexities, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Mastery of MS Office products and the use of SharePoint as a project repository
Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work, effectively escalate and resolve issues
Strong oral and written communication skills, consulting and relationship building skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Master’s Degree preferred
