Optum is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic candidate to join the fast-paced world of Payroll operations. Payroll is processed on a bi-weekly basis for multiple states, and this person will perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility including data audits and support to the Payroll Team.
Reporting relationship:
The role reports into Manager HROps and Payroll
This is an Individual contributor role
Primary Responsibilities:
Processing payroll inputs and working on payroll reports
Provide resolution of employee’s queries through case management tool as per the defined TAT
Produce timely responses to employee inquiries
Apply strategic thinking to eliminate manual processes and reduce overall processing time
Establish communications between different payroll departments and vendors for seamlessly completion of daily BAU work
Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any subject. Candidates with post-graduation in HR subjects will be given preference
Minimum 1 year of experience in Payroll and associated processes
Experience in managing payroll for large number of employees
Working knowledge of PeopleSoft HRMS or any ERP
Good with Microsoft Office Suite – Especially EXCEL and PowerPoint
Proven excellent organizational, multi‐tasking, communication, and prioritizing skills
Flexible to work in night shifts
