Unit Manager – Technology Services
Position Summary
This role is primarily a Scrum Master who is capable of running agile teams. This role demands experience in identifying and coordinating with different development teams with varied skills in leveraging technologies, techniques, and methods as they pertain to the development of and execution of functionalities. Experienced in Organizing backlogs, structure the teams, distribute responsibilities and track the tasks in an appropriate tool like Azure DevOps. This role requires experience in creating, publishing and presenting reports that are required to drive results to stake holders and involved parties.
Reporting Requirements – Supervisor is required to ensure all projects assignments or any additional work and client requirement is maintained and tracked via by Microsoft excel, projects, visio, power point, Power BI, etc. Data representation with Stakeholder is critical to conduct periodic client reviews
Job Responsibilities
• Develop full-scale project plans, establish milestones, track and monitor overall project schedules and cost by coordinating with business teams, development teams & IT Infrastructure team.
• Design workflow diagrams, future road maps to explain the process flow to stakeholders and the expected turnaround time.
• Facilitate daily scrum standup meetings, enforcing timeboxes, responding to the impediments, tracking baseline, sprint planning, and sprint retrospective
• Well versed in SDM and Scaled Agile Methodologies, MS Excel, Jira, Confluence, Rally, Version One.
• Conduct governance meeting with project stakeholders and provide regular updates to team, management, and PMO on work performed, plans, budget, and overall status.
• Ensures customer satisfaction from Inception to project delivery including large scale, complex automation, migration projects etc.,
• Perform SDLC analysis, identify and manage project dependencies and prepare critical path
• Collaborate with the Product owner and prepare the project resource plan.
• Understand basic infrastructure, database concepts and technical skills like java, python, pearl etc., to help work efficiently with development and infrastructure teams
• Prepare release showcase, release plan and create release notes for each release.
• Plan and run agile project in Microsoft Azure DevOps, .
• Work on multiple presentations with SME’s, developers and architects to prepare solution road map.
• Knowledge on CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to validate the solution prepared by developers
• Contribute to agile growth of the organization
• May participate in the hiring process of scrum masters
• Begin tackling organizational impediments
• Comfortable opposing anti-patterns
• Strong collaboration with leadership groups (Directors, AVPs, VPs)
• Capable of coaching up
• Participate in cross-departmental efforts
• Can start and facilitate Scrum of Scrums
• Leads initiatives within the community of practice
• Good Communication skill with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
