MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
MuleSoft Integration Delivery Manager is a key position for engaging with different Platform Services, Geo IT, and Cluster/Functional business stakeholders through the lifecycle of project implementation/project delivery. Working closely with the vendor partners, ensuring project timelines are met, Unilever standards are followed, Design standards are adhered, Deliverables are transitioned to BAU etc.
Purpose of the Role:
To deliver multiple project tracks within the Integration Simplification project wherein interfaces/API’s from MuleSoft are being migrated into one common integration technology within SAP BTP Platform.
The workstream includes (but not limited to)
Provide technical consultancy to business partners and coordinate with platforms.
Manage multiple medium to large sized projects in their subject area.
Work in close partnership with SI partners, product teams, peers and with Programme Directors to ensure on-time and in-budget execution & delivery of project tracks.
Own the delivery (end-to-end) of the projects.
Smooth handover to Operations team for BAU support
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Project Delivery related activities:
Project Management and Strategy:
Develop a comprehensive technical plan and strategy for the MuleSoft integration migration to SAP BTP Integration Suite.
Define project goals, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
Identify technical dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to ensure smooth integration.
Applying effective software engineering principles, object design, security, data interchange and data management to all parts of software lifecycle.
Project managing minor enhancements, medium to large projects or part of bigger programmes that affect the other specific processes/technology areas.
Supporting the IT strategy & roadmap design for digital platform applications working very closely with the Enterprise Architecture Teams
Proposing the priority and sequence of changes linked to specific releases and working with the Release Management organisation to agree these.
Managing & Tracking project delivery costs and X charging, Timesheet reviews, Vendor contracts, people management etc
Technical Leadership:
Define integration patterns, protocols, and data formats.
Ensure scalability, performance, security, and extensibility of the integration solution.
Ownership and responsibility for Coding standards, code review process and ensuring compliance.
Ensuring timely delivery of these deliverables with Application Development suppliers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical efforts and ensure successful project execution.
Reviewing technical specifications to ensure that proposals align to destination technology and architecture.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
Define and implement a comprehensive testing strategy for the integration migration project.
Ensure regression test quality standards are met, identify & execute performance test scenarios.
Change Management and Stakeholder Engagement:
Develop a change management plan to address the impact of integration migration on the key business projects and other platform projects in pipeline.
Engage stakeholders, communicate changes, and manage expectations.
Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor project progress, identify issues, and proactively resolve technical challenges.
Escalate critical issues to appropriate stakeholders as needed.
Security and Compliance:
Ensure that the integration migration project complies with security and compliance standards.
Implement appropriate security measures to protect data privacy and prevent unauthorized access.
Collaborate with security teams to address any vulnerabilities or risks.
Documentation and Reporting:
Create/Maintain comprehensive documentation of the integration migration project, including design decisions, platform alignments, architecture diagrams, data mappings, and configuration settings etc.
Prepare regular progress reports and project status updates for management and stakeholders.
Non-project related activities:
In addition to the scope set out above, the delivery lead will be expected to:
Develop a good understanding of future technology and architecture directions, including the opportunities for new functionality and reduced TCO created by these.
Developing and driving knowledge of end-to-end business processes and their likely evolution
Generating and driving ideas for continuous improvement, simplification and reduced TCO in the existing system landscape
Working with product vendors to identify product gaps and co-innovate on new features and bug fixes for integration platform.
Developing relationships, with key stakeholders in the BP, Service, Key business owners, with strategic suppliers and 3rd party IT service providers to help both drive and share the knowledge base.
Mentor & coach team members & direct reportees.
Essential Key Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information security, or information systems
Previous IT work experience of 8+ years with hands on experience in Software Development and Operations.
Experience with program leadership, governance and change enablement.
Understanding of wide areas of IT practice and applications
Ability to take initiatives, high on Growth Mind-set and Bias for Action.
Organizes, manages, and leads the team that is responsible for achieving the project objectives.
Strong knowledge of integration technologies, protocols, and standards.
Key Skills:
Core expertise in SAP BTP cloud integration and familiarity with MuleSoft is preferred.
Expertise in Global API strategy, roadmap, design, and various secure authentication methods.
Communication/Negotiation: Teamwork and Guide other professionals. Adapt communications and approaches to conclude negotiations with various partners, resulting in common agreements.
Problem Solving: Analyse complex/new situations, anticipate potential problems and future trends, assess opportunities, impacts, and risks. Develop and implement solutions.
Contribution/Leadership: Leads multi-functional teams, or conducts special projects etc.
Impact on Business/Scope: Accountable for projects or programs involving multi- functional, country-wide, or regional teams. Responsible for overall functional program success. Activities are subject to business measurements, impact customer satisfaction, and impact functional, business unit, or country costs or expenses.

Strong technical consultancy skills and good business awareness to drive business process improvement.
Ability to understand and apply new technologies/applications to deliver effective IT solutions.
Working Knowledge of application development methodology, techniques, and standards
