Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable information technology sales associate to promote and sell our IT solutions. In this role, your duties will include familiarizing yourself with the technical specifications of our products, assessing clients’ IT needs, and demonstrating our IT solutions to potential clients.
To ensure success as an information technology sales associate, you should exhibit extensive sales experience in an IT solutions environment, as well as in-depth knowledge of IT industry trends. Information technology sales associates ensure that their IT sales expertise translates to increased sales revenue.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Developing a sales strategy and setting sales targets.
2. Consulting with IT developers and management on product offerings.
3. Identifying marketing opportunities and developing sales leads.
4. Assessing potential clients’ IT needs and recommending products.
5. Finding and following new sales leads and reaching monthly targets.
6. Preparing and delivering sales pitches and product demonstrations.
7. Arranging business meetings and one-on-one conversations with prospective clients
8. Negotiating sales and service renewal contracts, as well as discounts and warranties.
9. Tracking sales targets and documenting sales performance metrics.
10. Ensuring competitiveness by analyzing and researching industry trends.
11. Initiating after-sales technical support based on client requirements and feedback.
12. Attending networking events
Desired Candidate Profile
1. A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in marketing, or a similar qualification.
2. 1 – 4 years of experience in IT product or services sales in the India, USA, UK, or APAC etc. is preferred.
3. Demonstrated and proven sales results
4. Advanced knowledge of marketing and sales strategies.
5. Ability to explain and demonstrate IT product specifications and functionalities.
6. Advanced proficiency in IT industry terminology and jargon.
7. Ability to liaise with management and IT developers about sales strategies.
8. Exceptional ability in negotiating sales deals, contracts, and service agreements.
9. Ability to evaluate client feedback and provide after-sales service.
10. In-depth knowledge of consumer behavior, as well as industry trends and innovation.
11. Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
12. Fluent communication in person, on the phone, and in email
