Position Overview:
The Packing supervisor shall manage the day-to-day packing operations. Shall be responsible for all Factory related packing of turbines and accessories. Accountable for ensuring safety, customer quality and delivery requirements.
Work Experience:
3 to 5 Years
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Individual material receipt, offer to quality, and packing planning for individual projects.
Preparation of individual components to offer quality team as per packing priorities.
Material receipt form different departments against approved packing list (Stores, Assembly, Fabrication shop etc.,)
Materials offer to IPQ.
Individual components Offer to quality team and same get ok by doing required reworks on each offered component to IPQ team.
Individual components labeling on components as per available final packing lists.
Actual packing of ok components and materials locking/chocking in wooden box as per requirements.
Final packing list preparation on based of packed boxes.
Labeling of final packing lists on packed box including export shipping marks
Fumigation planning of Export BOP supply and stamping on each box as per available packing list.
Loading planning and execution on vehicles as per dispatch requirements.
Weighments of turbine and maintain record vehicles vise.
Vehicles vise loading report/packing list to OM/PM team.
Preparation of final packing list and vehicles vise loading reports to OM/PM.
Recording and share of each shortage to respective OM/PM
After receipt of shortages, above process repeats for packing planning, quality check, packing and loading again individual dispatches.
Planning and work execution of contractual labor and packing vendor labor.
Maintaining records of training, packing lists, project check lists etc.
Maintaining of work permits procedure, EHS requirements, QMS requirements for packing departments.
Requirements/ Qualifications:
• Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree is required.
• Extensive Factory level experience with significant proven team supervisory experience.
• Must be familiar with Steam Turbine and its components.
• Has thorough knowledge and practical experience of Store’s and its process.
• Must be familiar with steam turbines drawings.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Has ability to act decisively and solve staff, material, or equipment-related problem.
• Must be computer proficient, including Microsoft Windows and Office software applications.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and multi-tasking.
• Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members.
