Job Description:
The job of a Senior Business Analyst in the ‘SendTech, North America’ team at Pitney Bowes is to directly impact the business by utilizing applied analytical innovation skills to uncover and develop unique market solutions. You work with a senior team that delivers with precision. You see opportunities where others see challenges.
You will be an integral part of our talented team, supporting our continued growth. This role will be based out of our Noida, India location with an option to work remotely. The position reports to the Manager, Solution Architecture, SendTech NA within the Client Analytics team and coordinates with global and cross-functional marketing stakeholders.
As a team that focuses primarily on greenfield opportunities, we place a premium on problem solving, client centricity, a test & learn mindset, resilience, business curiosity, and the willingness to champion new concepts within complex and unstructured environments.
Responsibilities
With minimal guidance:
Gather, analyze, and compile data needed to identify trends and patterns, then make recommendations for business actions.
Collaborate with business leaders to gather requirements and translate data into meaningful business insights.
Design and implement an analytical environment using third-party and in-house reporting tools, modelling metadata, building reports, dashboards, and providing our stakeholders timely, flexible and structured access to their data.
Maintain current knowledge of industry and business trends through communication with professional organizations, suppliers, customers, competitors, and other informed individuals.
Leveraging visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, etc…) and storytelling you will interact with internal and external peers and stakeholders to share highly complex information/solutions related to areas of expertise and/or to gain acceptance of new or enhanced technology/ business solutions.
Qualifications
One of the following: B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
Advanced Degree (MA/MS, Ph.D) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics or a related field
4+ years of experience in Business Intelligence domain
Working knowledge of the tools/technologies such as:
Programming languages such as SQL, Python
Business Intelligence and Visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot etc.)
Visualization Libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn, ggplot, Bokeh, Plotly, Geoplotlib)
Ability to handle databases and understand technology-driven business intelligence tools.
Ability to lead and adapt to changing priorities.
Highly collaborative, flexible, and communicative
Strong organizational skills
Self-motivated
Must have
Proficiency in SQL, Python and/or R languages
Past exposure to global clients and marketing analytics
Previous capstone and/or projects related to these areas is a significant plus
Experience using common data platform tools like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
Ability to construct stories from insights with corporate and 3rd party data sources
Experience with or willingness to learn the following tools that are commonly used at Pitney Bowes:
Business Intelligence and Visualization tools (e.g Power Bi, ThoughtSpot, Streamlit, Plotly);
Databases (Snowflake, AWS s3, RDS, Redshift, Neo4J)
CRM tools (Salesforce, Adobe Analytics).
Good to have
Familiarity with project management tools such as : GitLab, Jira, Confluence, Teams
Comfortable presenting recommendations to colleagues and stakeholders
Experience in coaching junior members
