Job Description
We are looking for a MERN Stack Developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. The primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database(s), and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.
Primary roles & Responsibilities:
– Participate in all aspects of SaaS product development, from requirements analysis to product release.
– Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic
– Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code for Microservice development
– Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
– Learn and adopt cutting edge technologies and tools to build best of class enterprise SaaS solutions.
– Integration of data storage solutions with Rest APIs
– Expertise with development life-cycle methodologies and best practices
– Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
– Excellent communication skills.
Skills And Qualifications
– Strong proficiency with JavaScript for REST based applications
– Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks available, esp. Express
– Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
– Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
– User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
– Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
– Experience with Postgresql, Kakfa, Redis, Elastic search
– Experience with Kubernetes, Docker
– Experience in using public clouds – especially AWS
– Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
– Understanding Build process lifecycle, ability to write shell scripts to automate such processes
– Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3
– Knowledge of DevOps tools e.g Jenkins for CI/CD, Helm charts, etc will be an added advantage
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related disciplines preferred
