Role Purpose: • Manage the design, deployment, and delivery of projects of medium complexity (determined by budget, timeline, and stakeholder), providing IT solutions that meet Patient Safety & Pharmacovigilance (PS&PV) business requirements. • Direct project teams (externals) and maintain control of progress, quality, and budget to meet the desired business objectives. • Setup and run all project related meetings and maintain the record of actions, decisions, issues, risks and act the primary point of contact for all project related escalations. • Ensure a smooth transition to operations and the optimal planning and execution of all activities associated with a release. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Manage the delivery of internal and outsourced PS&PV projects from project initiation to transition to operations. Monitor and control project execution, establish project governance, managing risks and issues. • Ensure effective use of resources and project management methods, tools and practices • Deliver projects on time and within budget and to meet the desired business objectives. • Provide transparent and accurate project reporting including overall performance of the project and project documentation completion • Own project status, issues and risks through appropriate channels / tools and ensures that these are reported back to agreed project governance (e.g., Steering Committee) with focus on required actions, ownership, and risk management. • Accountable to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Project Management service scope • Collaborate effectively with other teams, DDIT Functions and Domains in the organization, as well as strategic suppliers providing services to the project • Support the SDIM role in managing the PS&PV project portfolio from a cost, schedule, scope, quality, resource, risks and issues perspective nnnn Position Title: Project Manager GDD IT PS&PV x2 Minimum requirements: What will you bring to the role Education: • University degree in Informatics, Computer Sciences, business or similar OR relevant experience Experience • Proven track record of 10+ years in successfully delivering complex IT projects in the role of project manager. • People Challenges, Organization Scope, Scale and Complexity, Project Management, Financial Management Competencies • Project Excellence, Managing Change, Stakeholder Engagement Skills & Knowledge • Applying waterfall and agile project delivery frameworks • Analysing stakeholder requirements • Organizing and planning • Aligning people and resources • Timely decision making • Contracting with Stakeholders • Problem solving • Managing budgets • Change management. #transformingforgrowth Why Novartis? 766 million lives were touched by Novartis medicines in 2021, and while we’re proud of this, we know there is so much more we could do to help improve and extend people’s lives.
