The Quality Assurance team at Parametric:
General Description (role)
We are looking for an individual that has a strong curiosity and passion for learning new things, while focused on meeting or exceeding client expectations. The Lead QA Engineer will be responsible for leading a team of QA professionals to design, build and support Test Automation software, ensuring quality in delivering enhancements to proprietary Parametric software. You’ll work closely and collaboratively with QA, SDETs and SREs to continuously improve the testing platform and practices used by agile delivery teams in Parametric IT. You’ll also collaborate with other technology teams in the organization as necessary, including Infrastructure, DevOps, InfoSec and Release Management.
Primary Responsibilities
– Oversee the QA and Test Automation effort within a project/scrum team
– Provide thought and practice leadership in QA and Test Automation practices
– Design, implement and maintain Test Cases and Test Plans for Parametric proprietary software
– Design, implement and maintain Automated Test Suites for Parametric proprietary software
– Continuously improve Parametric’s approach and platform for testing – functional, regression, end-to-end, performance/load
– Strive to develop and conduct software testing with high standards, and engineering excellence
– Contribute to testing across the entire stack: Presentation, Service and Data layers
– Engage in a highly collaborative team environment including business partners and product owners
– Contribute to high-velocity delivery with safety; enable agility and iterative changes to the UI and product design
Job QUALIFICATIONS
SKILL SET
Required Experience: 10 years of QA and Test Development experience
Skill set: Test Automation, Test Planning / Manual Testing / Exploratory Testing
Primary Skills
– Bachelor’s degree required
– Strong communication skills
– Experience leading QA professionals in a software development environment
– Well-versed in all testing methodologies (black box, white box, system, functional, exploratory and automated testing)
– Ability to quickly understand complex business problems
– Proven experience leading and/or mentoring within a team/department structure
– Proven experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Postman)
– Proven experience with either C# or Java programming
– Proven experience building high quality and comprehensive test plans and test cases custom software
– Working experience in an agile development/delivery team
– Effective communication skills with business users, software developers and other testers
– Proven experience testing web applications, web APIs and data driven applications
– Proven experience designing and implementing automated test suites
– Proven experience using/configuring CI/CD pipelines
– Strong SQL coding/debugging skills
– Experience with SOA (service-oriented architecture)
– Experience with Cloud platforms
– Understanding of software development lifecycle
Good to Have Skills
– Experience with Financial services industry
– Experience with OAuth security a plus
