- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is generally required. A master’s degree in a related field or an MBA could be beneficial.
- Technical certifications related to the organization’s environment (like certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, AWS (Amazon Web Services), etc.) can be valuable.
- 12-14 years of experience in IT (Information Technology), including specific experience in environment management, Software Release Management system administration, or IT operations, is typically required. Experience in a leadership or supervisory role may also be necessary.
- 9+ years of experience in DevOps/Automation.
- An expert understanding of software development lifecycle and Ability to handle software infrastructure management & configuration management
- Problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Should be versed with written and verbal advanced communication skills.
- Experience in coordinating cross-functional work teams up to task completion
- DevOps Release Managers should understand the intricate business needs and be accountable for essential release-related matters. They are also responsible for monitoring how every aspect of a project fits together and providing a thorough insight into the changes made and the reason behind the same.
