We are looking for a Principal Software Engineering Manager for the Edge customer experience team who embraces these roles and is excited by technology. We are part of the Edge & Platform organization delivering at-scale customer experience for all of Edge solutions – Azure Stack HCI, Azure Edge Hardware Centre, HCI Catalog.
Azure Stack HCI is a hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) operating system delivered as an Azure service. It provides the latest security, performance, and hybrid capabilities, which now include Azure Arc enablement and new management scenarios through the Azure portal.
Azure Edge Hardware Center is an Azure service that lets you order a variety of hardware or devices from the Azure hybrid portfolio.
This team is innovating new technologies for managing edge devices from Azure in a safe, secure, reliable, and scalable model for our global customers across various Azure Geographies.
We pride ourselves in developing technologies which enhance customer experience that enable running machine learning models close to the data source, using edge computing to address customer workload needs, managing edge appliances in Azure, and transferring data to Azure over the network.
Responsibilities
We are searching for an accomplished Principal Software Engineering Manager who is aspiring to make great impact and is enthusiastic about delivering releases of the highest quality. Lead, mentor and grow a team of diverse software engineers.
Drive execution of feature work through the whole software development lifecycle
Collaborate across boundaries (internally and externally) to create a seamless product that delights our customers
Work with the PM team to prioritize, estimate, and schedule feature work to meet the highest priority demands on Edge products
Provide hands-on technical leadership: architecture, design, code reviews, development, quality assurance and live site support.
Identify and implement engineering best practices. Drive Live Site culture within the organization to ensure services truly delight our customers

Qualifications
Proven track record leading and managing a team of engineers spanning all aspects of the software engineering life cycle and a history of delivering elegant, robust, and performant services and features with quality and on schedule.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in designing, developing, and shipping high scale services.
Experience in frontend technologies – React/Redux, Typescript, Web services and RESTful concepts is a must.
Strong coding, debugging and algorithm design skills.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Experience operating, troubleshooting, and supporting high performance and business critical production systems.
Effective communication and leadership skills.
