Log 9 Materials is using its core competence in Graphene nanotechnology to develop advanced energy storage technologies from electrode materials, cell to pack level. Our Rapid Charging Battery packs (Read more) solve the challenges in adoption for the 2W and 3W electric vehicle platforms while our Aluminium Fuel Cell technology (Read more) is targeted towards the electrification of long haul, heavier vehicles.
Electrification of vehicles specially for commercial use ranging from 2W, 3W to LCVs to HCVs will not only have a significant positive impact on the environment, but will lead to huge cost savings as well. However, different vehicle platforms have unique requirements and hence there cannot be a one-type fits all battery technology.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform in-house post-mortem characterization tests on Li-ion cells to support R&D work and communicate results to the team lead
- Follow assigned standard test procedures when carrying required characterisation methods
- Responsible to analyse test results from characterization techniques like XRD (Rietveld refinement preferred), XPS, SEM, HR-TEM with SAED pattern analysis, BET surface area and porosity analysis, FTIR and RAMAN
- Coordinate samples (and results) for characterization with external agencies
- Ability to interpret analytical and cell test data using materials characterization and electrochemical techniques to establish process and property relationship
Essential Skills
- Experience with handling material characterisation techniques
- Good knowledge background in battery fundamentals and cell chemistry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good data analysis skills. Familiar with Minitab, Origin and MS Excel highly desired
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, and standard operating procedures
