Job Description

As a CAD Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for developing platforms utilizing Intel architecture for Xeon Server segments. Platforms include validation vehicles used to enable verification of XEON products, reference designs used to enable customers, and proof of concepts of new technologies. You will work on multiple facets of PCB layout while collaborating with HW, Signal/Power Integrity, Manufacturing, Thermal/Mechanical and Package Design Engineers.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Ownership of the layout from feasibility studies to board tape-out.
Constraint entry of signal integrity guidelines.
Placement and routing studies.
Routing of PCIE Gen5/DDR5- signals.
Board routing studies to optimize new package ball-maps.
Interface with Manufacturing Engineers and PCB vendors to support board builds.
Perform PCB design reviews using Valor or Cadence Allegro and providing design analysis for reliability, manufacturability, and quality.
Creation of physical library symbols (PCB land patterns)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
1. 5+ years of experience with PCB layout utilizing Cadence Allegro.
2. 1+ years of experience with Cadence Constraint Manager v17.2 or later.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience with a broad range of PCB form factors.
2. Experience with all phases of hardware development including schematic entry, signal integrity practices and theories, constraint entry, library creation, DFM.
3 Experience managing highly complex PCB designs both individually as well as part of a team while working across multiple sites.
4. Experience with HDI / Type4 PCB design.
5. Automation and Skill scripting experience.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
