This job opportunity in IFS will be part of the Customer Solutions Engineering (CSE) group which is responsible for the portions of the system foundry that brings the “best of Intel” technologies to IFS customers, differentiating and accelerating their solutions from architecture to post-silicon validation.
Job Description:
The candidate will be responsible for developing and executing extensive functional test suites using internally developed and industry standard tools to thoroughly validate IPs and SOC products for foundry customers. Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Development and execution of validation plans, test content and methodologies to achieve efficient and comprehensive validation of customer SoC products in post-silicon and pre-silicon emulation environments.
Analyzing, tracking, documenting, and reporting test results and failures.
Performing system-level debug using on-chip debug features and debug tools such as ITPs, Logic Analyzers, Protocol Analyzers, and Oscilloscopes.
Assessing validation data and making recommendations on issues based on technical knowledge of product specs and customer requirements.
Applying various hardware and software level tools and techniques to ensure power, performance and area goals are met.
Interfacing with the Architecture, Design and Pre-Silicon Validation teams to improve test plans, resolve product bugs, and provide feedback on features to improve debug and test capabilities.
Qualifications:Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications :
Master of Science degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 5+ yrs of relevant experience, OR Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 7+ yrs of relevant experience.
Knowledge of digital electronics and logic design. Good understanding of CPU Architecture.
Understanding of a subsystem HW/SW stack, including the silicon, onboard HW components and connectors and devices, BIOS, drivers, and applications.
Experience with post-silicon debug using ITP/JTAG, Logic Analyzers and Oscilloscopes.
Knowledge of software programming, preferably in C/C++ and Python languages.
Candidate should have excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills, as well as good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work cross-geo/site when needed to accomplish results.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing post-silicon test/debug tools using C/C++ and/or Python.
Knowledge of ARM, RISC-V and x86 ISA, PCIe Express, USB, Ethernet, NoC (Network on a Chip), and DDR5/HBM memory subsystems
Experience with pre-silicon validation using FPGAs and/or In-Circuit Emulators
Prior experience with Intel products or other CPU/SoC products in a post-silicon engineering environment

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
