In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the storage infrastructure, specifically focusing on IBM storage solutions and Cisco SAN technologies. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the optimal performance, availability, and executing data migration projects.JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:IBM Storage Management: Deploy, configure, and maintain IBM storage solutions, such as IBM Spectrum Virtualize family products. Monitor and troubleshoot storage systems to ensure optimal performance, capacity, and availability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for migration activities from EMCIBM to IBM storageCisco SAN Administration: Manage and maintain Cisco SAN infrastructure, including Cisco MDS switches and directors. Monitor SAN performance and analyze SAN-related issues to identify and resolve problems promptly. Collaborate with network teams to ensure seamless integration and connectivity between storage and network infrastructure.Data Migration: Plan and execute data migration projects, including data movement between storage systems or SANs. Develop migration strategies, considering factors such as data size, complexity, and business requirements. Coordinate with stakeholders to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity during migration activities. Conduct pre-migration assessments, data validation, and post-migration verification to guarantee successful data transfers.Documentation and Reporting: Update and maintain detailed documentation, including system configurations and standard operating procedures. Create regular reports on storage capacity utilization, performance and migration activities. Provide recommendations for improving storage efficiency, reliability, and performance based on data analysis.
