Role Purpose
Support the Business Support Manager (IDT I Plan) based in Frankfurt (Germany) and join our global customer support team. The role is dedicated to expand our customer support presence. Support the hotel finance department in working efficiently and providing accurate financial forecasts and budgeting estimates, supporting other planning (Capex) and financial reporting processes for hotels, mainly for region Europe and IMEA. Handle our customers’ support requests, tickets and change requests and provide user trainings. The job holder will be direct contact person for our customers in the support of the applications.
Key Accountabilities
Supporting Line Manager (BSM I Plan) with the Hotel and Corp. Business Support for IHG Financial Planning Systems – I Plan in EMEAA – (mainly but not limited to Europe, IMEA) including process reviews, feedback collection, system problem solving, user onboarding and other trainings.
Provide general Business Supports to all hotel planning stakeholders (hotels & corp. finance) – incl. data validation, report recommendation, system problem solving, etc… to ensure quick and efficient user support
Support system maintenance – version updates with software testing
Assist in delivering training activities, systems documentations and communications; Provide end-user security administration and promotion associated with the Global Finance forecasting & budgeting planning systems strategy
Gather hotel & corp. user regional requests for new reports and system enhancements and escalate to project manager
Support the development and maintenance of IDT Resource Center to support end-users with training needs
Support IDT and I Plan colleagues in assigned area(s) for regional/global financial planning projects.
Support the implementation of all IHG Financial Planning System- Hotel Forecasting, Budgeting and Actual P&L, LRP and Capital Investment reporting systems
Key Skills & Experiences
Qualifications
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or international equivalent.
Qualified accountant or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
Experience
Minimum 2+ years experience in a financial reporting environment, preferably including hotel reporting and forecasting or IT software support.
Critical knowledge
Good knowledge and experience in financial planning and analysis or management reporting/consulting with financial hotel e.g. accounting systems or financial reporting applications (e.g. Essbase).
Effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing and explaining information to business partners, vendors key stakeholders, and Global IPlan team
Demonstrated knowledge of financial statements, financial principles and the ability to convert them to use in the hotel.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in multiple locations, driving system or cultural change, and challenging & communicating with business stakeholders
Basic Project Management skills and reliable and able to work according to deadlines at multiple projects at the same time
High affinity for IT and enjoy solving software and technical problems and willingness to develop solution methods for IT issues
Demonstrated good Excel and Power Point / presentation skills
Fluent Writing and Speaking in English (negotiation and presentation level) preferred.
