Summary of this role :
The role requires a technically knowledgeable individual with proven experience/success in the promotion and selling of SCADA solution applications to promote and develop the Emerson Oil & Gas SCADA business within AP.
The individual will be responsible for supporting the AP sales channels in the selling of the Emerson SCADA solution that may include one or more of the following: RTU’s, Flow Computers and ESI pipeline applications.
Responsible for supporting the AP budget process and being held responsible for achieving that annual number for SCADA systems orders targets.
The individual will be responsible for providing market information in support of the definition and onward development of the AP SCADA offering to ensure it meets or exceeds the market need. This person is also responsible for the support of the systems engineering teams, regional SMA’s and tendering functions in the project pursuit cycle including but not limited to development of cost-effective design architectures, technical compliancy reviews and DOA support.
The individual will also support the Emerson SCADA product marketing director with feedback of current systems trends and market needs. He/she will also assist in the creation, validation and training on use of sales tools to facilitate sales growth in SCADA Systems for ETS.
Responsibilities :
Provide pre and post-sales support for the Emerson sales teams in the identification, qualification, appraisal and pursuit of SCADA Systems orders.
Provide technical sales support to the Emerson AP direct and LBP channel for the identification, qualification, appraisal and pursuit of Systems orders.
Support the engineering teams in SCADA solution proposals and identification of implementation risks, ensuring that they are communicated and discussed with senior management and sales teams during tender development.
Assist the Director AP with technical governance of all SCADA systems projects.
Provide regular up to date marketing needs and drivers to the PSS Marketing Director.
Definition of own work objectives and priorities within the direction set by the Director of Sales or his designee.
Undertake sales and technical presentations on site and off site to Customers.
Maintains a high degree of industry knowledge and awareness, including trends, technology advancement and promotes Emerson technologies and solutions as appropriate at Trade shows and other technology exchanges.
Ability to produce high quality documentation to be presented to the customer individually or as a member of a team.
Maintain and foster good team relationships: Peers within PSS, Subordinates, other Emerson Divisions, Emerson support functions incl. HR, trade compliance, legal.
Maintain and foster good customer and supplier relationships pre and post sale.
Enhance company position within served market through technical and commercial expertise.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education & Skills :
A customer focused individual who has, at a minimum, obtained an Electrical Engineering Degree or Computer Science Degree and who has min of 10 years experience in the sales and engineering of O&G SCADA and Control projects for both the home and international markets. Experience to include formal definition, design, build and implementation. Good understanding of project end to end delivery including ongoing service management.
English and other any Asian language skills
Additional Requirements :
PC Literacy in networking environment a must.
Highly skilled in Microsoft software and COTS database technologies
Ability to travel extensively (Asia Pacific)
SCADA, telemetry, network and programmable devices technologies
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Excellent presentation, verbal and written skills to effectively communicate
ISO 9001/2015 Quality procedures.
