Job Description

    Shipbrokers are the middlemen who make shipping happen. Theynegotiate deals between shipowners and the charterers who arrange the movement of goods and products and between the buyers and sellers of ships.Who is called a ship broker 1. :a mercantile agent employed in buying and selling ships. : a representative acting in behalf of the ship owner in obtaining cargo and often in arranging such port activities of a vessel as the discharge and loading of cargo, clearance, and insurance.Job description

    • Finding and fixing vessels and cargoes between owners, operators and charterers
    • Maintaining a smooth dialogue with owners and charterers
    • Drafting charter parties and fixture notes
    • Solving any issues relating to the fixture concluded
    • Co-ordinating with agents, post fixture desk of owns/charterers and other brokers
    • Local and international business development and fact finding to increase company profile and build on existing and new relations with prospective clients
