BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST
Description
Responsible for the preparation of sales analyses and reports for key stakeholders in the sales function.
Gathers reporting requirements and analyzes data to provide recurring reports to the sales organization.
Performs quality assurance and tests conclusions to ensure validity of the analysis.
Uses globally standardized dashboards and best reporting practices to support sales teams and business performance metrics.
Selects the right analysis methods for a given issue or problem, in order to provide the most accurate analysis.
Delivers recurring reports and/or analyses to stakeholders on time.
Interprets data accurately and draws accurate conclusions what the data means and how it helps support decisions.
Extracts data from operational systems and reporting databases with the purpose of understanding or making conclusions from the data for decision making purposes.
Works with Senior Analysts and the Business Intelligence Leader to understand needs of end users.
Continually improves the usability of analyses to support decision-making. Utilizes sales analysis tools based on standard Cummins tools and processes.
Ensures effective communication with key stakeholders on sales analysis and reporting.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
Bachelors degree in Sales, Marketing or Business required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
Experience analyzing data and developing clear and accurate conclusions required. Experience in sales or supporting a sales organization preferred.
Required Skills:
Proven work experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role, with a focus on descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analysis.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI to create interactive dashboards and reports.
Experience with SQL and relational databases for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
Knowledge of statistical techniques and tools for data analysis, such as regression analysis, clustering, and decision trees.
Familiarity with datamining and machine learning concepts and algorithms.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, such as Snowflake.
Understanding of business processes and domains, such as marketing, sales, or supply chain.
Knowledge of Salesforce CRM tool is an added advantage
