Job Summary
The Unified Communications Engineering team is seeking a development engineer delivering quality products who understands the direct impact of their work on the Customer experience. As a Middleware Engineer, the candidate will provide technical expertise in developing applications and responsible for architecting, configuring and maintaining middleware solutions to ensure seamless integration and efficient performance of applications and services. Your knowledge and skills in your own discipline will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products. You will work as a part of a large team to determine work priorities. & act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. The role offers an exceptional learning opportunity allowing you to expand your skills and expertise working in a supportive environment alongside our cross-functional international team comprising architects, principal engineers, UX and Data specialists, UI and MW developers, Operation and QA engineers, software dev managers, project and program managers.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and implement well-tested middleware components using core technologies like Java, Node.js, Golang, Spring Framework, API communication protocols (REST, SOAP, GraphQL ), unit testing frameworks, SQL/NoSQL databases, logging & monitoring tools, Git, and Docker.

Contribute to the design and implementation of middleware solutions, working closely with senior engineers to understand system architecture and integration requirements.

Perform unit testing and participate in integration testing activities as assigned.

Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate issues related to middleware performance, integration, and security.

Maintain and update documentation for assigned middleware components.

Collaborate effectively with developers, QA , and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and data flow.

Actively learn and stay updated on evolving trends and technologies in the middleware landscape.
Preferred Skills & Experience :

Programming Languages: Java, Node.js, Golang, Javascript

Analyzes and determines integration needs.

Evaluates and plans software designs, test results and technical manuals.

Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.

Programs new software, web applications and supports new applications under development and the customization of current applications.

Edits and reviews technical requirements documentation.

Works with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements.

Displays knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty.

Displays knowledge of and ability to apply, process design and redesign skills.

Displays in-depth knowledge of and ability to apply, project management skills.
