Job Overview:

The Demand Planning position is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with product in General Mills AMEA region. This role demands creation and maintenance of forecast models for AMEA countries of Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from Sales history, and AMEA supply chain and sales.

Responsibilities:

55% of time:

Build & manage Consensus Forecasting Process (India Foods)

• Achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts with integrated Promo volumes by facilitating consensus meets
• Drive Demand Monthly review discussions with Sales, marketing, Finance & Supply Planning

• Weekly connect with Sales by Region & communicate changes to Supply Planning

• Recommend Base operational forecasts to Demand Planning Manager and Sales
• Review promotional plans with sales and Demand Planning Manager
• Maintain demand planning system and software
• Uploading Consensus numbers in planning system and modify data and ensure the correctness of input vs output volume

• Gather, analyse and validate data

• Review statistical forecast model output
• Apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting KPI
• Summarize/aggregate base forecasts
• Track, control and liquidate slow and obsolete items in collaboration with supply and sales.

25% of time:

Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process

• Prepare DRM dashboards and PPT
• Development and publishing of Forecast Reports such as
• Forecast Accuracy Report (MAPE)
• Trend Report
• Bias Report
• Development and publishing other analytical reports

10% of time:

Data Management Support:

• Maintain demand planning system and software (Essbase)
• Enter and modify data and ensure the correctness of product hierarchy in Essbase
• Updating new SKU
• Deletion of delisted SKU’s

Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process

Competencies:

– Good communication skills and stakeholder management

– Strong MS Office (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)

– Understands SCM & Planning Tools (SAP / JDA / OMP)

– Strong teamwork, strong analytical skills, attitude for learning, and efforts toward new things

Qualifications

• Graduate/MBA in supply chain management
• 8+ years of experience preferably working in demand planning role in a reputed organisation with a mature supply planning process in FMCG space
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills & stakeholder management
