Hybrid Working
Structured hybrid role:
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, anchor, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business.
Introduction:
o To prioritize technical system support and improvement in the areas of (1) Application Stability (2) Infrastructure Maintenance (3) DevOps. This team/individual will focus on supporting the business by operating to improve reliability through observability and automation for repetitive Incidents, Improving Monitoring for early Incident Detection, Performance Improvement for Stability, Capacity Planning, Resiliency planning and execution, Problem Management,
o This Individual/team will become the true technical SMEs in the application landscape and have the most in-depth knowledge of the application configuration and settings, recovery process and improvement opportunities – constantly driving our application environment forwards.
Candidate will also be required to –
. Represent Post Trade Services RTB in various business forums in Pune/Globally.
. Operate as per ITIL discipline and manage large transformation projects for Run The Bank (RTB).
What will you be doing
. Manage large transformation projects for Run The Bank (RTB) which bring in optimal and efficient operation.
. Innovate with cutting edge Barclays approved technologies and tools to demonstrate efficiency gain by automation.
. Runs transformation and automation for Regulatory Reporting Team.
. Manage & Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless port-mortem and ensure effective permanent solution applied.
. Engage with other RTB Managers across the firm, explore existing technological solutions and apply them to their BU wherever possible.
. Works with Build the Bank, GTIS, Run the bank and Operations to identify manual tasks and automate.
. Strong communication and written skillset to engage with various senior IT stakeholders.
. Mentor and coach other team members across team/region.
. Define/develop team operating model and review developments done against target end-state.
. Work with vendor partners, supplier managers to conduct periodic service review
. Work with various stakeholders to regularly measure and monitor SLA . Create new SLA where needed.
. Engage with Operations and business partners to review service with focus on stability and to improve user experience.
. Enhanced focus in problem management, major incident reduction, user experience and manual work reduction.
What we’re looking for:
. Degree in information system or computer science or any equivalent
. Knowledge of Back office process and systems in an Investment Bank
. Knowledge of software programs in any of the technologies like Java, C++, C#, SQL, Python.
. Proven experience in working with structured and/or unstructured databases like Oracle, Mongo DB, MSSQL.
. Proven experience in scripting technologies like Shell, Perl/Python, Java Script, PHP, etc.
. Proven experience in working with Linux/Unix or Windows operating systems
. Knowledge of scheduling tools like Autosys.
. Certified or excellent knowledge of ITIL practices.
. Knowledge of Lean Control process, and various stages of Agile Change life cycle
. Working knowledge of Regulatory Reporting process and related products.
. Working/Implementation knowledge of Monitoring Tools such as ITRS. Knowledge ITRS dashboards.
Skills that will help you in the role:
. Knowledge of or working experience in cloud technologies.
. Working knowledge of Project management tools
. Preferred to have certified in any of these technologies like AWS / DevOps.
. Communication Skills – role demands to interact with various key stake holders and senior management for escalations, candidate should strong in verbal and written communication
