Hybrid Working
Structured hybrid role:
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, anchor, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Please discuss the working pattern requirements for the role you are applying for with the hiring manager. Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business.
Introduction:
The role is to perform activities related to non-functional/Performance testing of new, or existing, Barclay’s software applications and information systems as per the key accountabilities described below.
What will you be doing
. Work to mature the current NFT capability by ensuring proper documentation of frameworks, utilities and tools in the teams central knowledge base.
. Define and build robust, modular and reusable NFT frameworks
. Participate in various organizational level initiatives/forums
. Work to bring efficiency/improvement to existing testing processes.
. Track, Contribute and report KPI / MBR on agreed objectives.
What we’re looking for:
. Knowledge of Python language would have added advantage
. Basic educational qualification required is minimum Bachelor of Engineering (BE)
Skills that will help you in the role:
. Proficient in Performance testing, analysis and tuning of Java applications, database and middleware like MQ and Kafka
. Scripting experience using Load Runner, Jmeter and execution using Performance Centre
. Proficient in Application monitoring, analysis and tuning tool like AppD, ELK
. Should be proficient in identifying bottlenecks and provide tuning suggestions
. Java or Shell script knowledge
. Experience of using test management tools (e.g. Jira / Rally) to manage testing activity and to provide testing metrics
. Experience in Jenkins integration for Performance execution automation
