Hybrid Working
Structured hybrid role:
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, anchor, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction:
The candidate will play the role of Senior Application Support Manager for EDP within GTSM organization and will be directly accountable and responsible for managing applications within EDP. In this leadership role the candidate will own both service level management as well as support for assigned services within their domain. They will lead a team of technical staff to manage and address technical issues and will be responsible for all aspects of support. This individual will act as the accountable owner for all aspects of their services and this includes influencing required matrix teams to deliver production stability. This is a hybrid technical/leadership role and the individual fulfilling this role will be able to both technically engage in issues but also present complex technical topics, influence, and guide non-technical senior audiences. This individual will be accountable to maintain control within their domain including productivity/SLA reporting to ensure most efficient and effective utilization of assigned staff.
Candidate will be based out of Pune and responsible to support strategic applications hosted in AWS cloud and few Barclays hosted applications. Primary focus will be for Strategic Data Lake in AWS, Candidate will have to engage with Build the Bank, Run the Bank, Business Users and Infrastructure teams to ensure Stability & Availability of the application and Quality & Timeliness of the data to business. Ensure day to day operation and governance of the application to meet all Barclays technology standards.
What will you be doing
– Lead SAS Application specific technical discussion with BTB teams for on-boarding and daily operational governance for stability, availability, continuity for our business.
– Ensure all Barclays technology standards are followed.
– Engagement with business to understand their issues and engage with IT teams for permanent fix & issue resolution.
– Triage incidents which may have a potential impact on the service.
– Review Incident, Problem, Change & Events regularly to ensure we understand issues and fix them wherever applicable.
– Ensure no manual activities are introduced in any release or those are automated where deemed necessary.
What we’re looking for:
. Graduate or Postgraduate in computer science or related streams.
. Must have prior experience of Base and Advance SAS Programming in banking domain.
. Must have hands on experience on SAS GRID administration. LSF and load balancing.
. Must have experience on SAS deployment and configuration,
. Hands on experience on SMC, EG, DI and Web applications.
. Strong working & hands on experience in SAS ETL support.
. Good knowledge of data warehousing.
. Hands on experience in Unix/Linux, SQL.
. Good understanding of Incident management, Change management, Problem Management.
. Experience & knowledge of shell scripting.
. Strong analytics and reporting skills.

. Ability to breakdown complex problems using appropriate design patterns and best practices demonstrating a strong knowledge foundation and a sound approach to problem-solving.
. Ability to build automated pipelines that integrate and transport software through reliable, secure, and governed channels from conception to production.
. Ability to build a suite of real-time monitoring and automation software that encompass resilient and self-healing platform operations.
. Ability to conduct effective triage and remediation of production incidents with accompanying customer service and support for all clients of the platform.
Any combination of these skills boost eligibility:
. Base SAS certified.
. Experience with supporting SAS GRID platforms having multiple tenants.
. Experience with managing a dynamic team.
