ABOUT THE ROLE What youll do The Senior Test Manager is accountable for the defining and implementing the test strategy, and promoting good testing practises on their projects. The role involves leading testing projects to ensure a successful delivery that also meets our compliance standards. Focus areas include requirements analysis, test design, test case and test charter creation, test execution, test documenting/notetaking and reporting. Managing and running testing on global programmes with multi release and geography test cycles or multitenant software with complex work flows Creation and implementation of comprehensive test strategies, approaches, test plans at project and/or release levels. Ownership and delivery of Testing on projects, managing all aspects of testing and ensuring all testing activities and deliverables are produced to the highest standard and delivered on time Document, implement, monitor, and enforce all processes for testing as per standards defined by the organization Provide sufficient level of review for test deliverables Communication of project updates / progress to Project and/or testing services stakeholders. Hands on test management and planning across multiple test phases and cycles, including System Test, Integration Test, UAT, Regression, E2E and Parallel Runs, as required Lead the testing teams to agile ways of working and implementing right testing practices on projects. Mentor / coach the team where applicable Test data strategy and coordination of activities with wider teams to ensure alignment Day to day management of testing on projects Working with third party vendors on testing approach, due diligence and establishing the right testing processes Get involved in scripting, execution, reviews and approvals where required to ensure quality standards in the team are met Collaborating with squad leads, product owners and project managers regarding any changes in scope or schedule, challenging whether these changes are justified, covered financially and agreed to by appropriate decision makers. Support / lead testing of a world-class centre of excellence supporting all types of project methodology (Scrum, KanBan, Waterfall, V-Model, SAFe, etc) Provide the leadership to balances budget, staffing mix, and landmarks when building test plans and road maps. Customer facing communications, driving testing engagement strategies, effective risks & issues management, ensuring processes are effectively used. Ensure problems are resolved and brought up as appropriate. Create and sustain great relationships with key stakeholders from an operational and tactical perspective. Work with the project team & stakeholders to review project estimations and costs surrounding project funding When necessary, drive the efforts surrounding testing evidence for auditing and regulation purposes for projects, based upon their specific regulatory needs. Effective risks and issues management. Ensure problems are resolved and brought up as appropriate This role is also required to grow the capabilities of our testing team through mentoring and coaching. We are looking for people with the right mind-set and attitude who strive for close, collaborative, and empowered working environments, where individuals and teams can flourish Essential for the role Minimum 12 years of hands on experience with software testing across Test Management A solid hands on test management background with a proven track record of leading, managing and sucessfully delivering complex global programmes Must be a disciplined, self-starter and should have the ability to complete assignments independently Strong verbal and written communication skills Must be willing to perform a hands-on role based on project needs Experience of creating and implementing Automation Test Strategy Proactive approach to problem solving with strong Lateral and Critical thinking skills. Self-learner and serious about remaining up to date with testing industry advancements. Ability to grasp and understand new technology and concepts Should be able to demonstrate AZ values at all circumstances Proactive approach to problem solving with strong Lateral and Critical thinking skills Experience working in globally distributed team Test Management Experience of managing and running testing on global programmes with multi release and geography test cycles or multitenant software with complex work flows Define project test goals coordinating with project internal and external partners Develop strategies, estimates, plans and other project documents Define scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery Perceive risks relating to schedule, process, quality and costs. Timely customer concern of issues and risks and ability to manage and mitigate risks Experience working in globally distributed team. Good knowledge and strong experience of multiple SDLC methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Waterfall, V-Model, etc) especially Agile and how Testing works within Agile projects testing. People Management Liaise with project collaborators to maintain a healthy relationship and resolve any issues/ conflicts/ negotiations amicably Coach, mentor and motivate team members and influence them to follow the right values needed to deliver daily work Support team development by exploring tools and techniques which can improve daily work Foster innovative ideas from the team and maintain team morale Identify training requirements and in consultation with the Line Manager (Technical and Soft skills) Desirable for the role Hands-on experience managing vendor communications and conflict resolutions Involvement with external communities and experience in driving internal communities for knowledge sharing and promoting team learning Experience in non-functional testing Performance, Security Strong presentation and reporting skills Masters / Bachelors degree or equivalent There may be potential applicants within the team for this role.
