Role & responsibilities:

• Develop innovative and cost-effective procurement strategies to meet organizational objectives.
• Source and engage with reliable suppliers and vendors, ensuring alignment with quality and cost requirements.
• Conduct smart negotiations with suppliers and vendors to secure favourable terms and pricing.
• Review existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure ongoing feasibility and compliance.
• Cultivate and nurture long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers to foster collaboration and reliability.
• Approve purchase orders and ensure timely organization and confirmation of delivery of goods and services.
• Conduct risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements to mitigate potential risks.
• Control the procurement budget and advocate for long-term savings on procurement costs.
• Oversee and manage IT systems responsible for tracking shipments, inventory, and supply of goods.
• Prepare comprehensive procurement reports for internal stakeholders and management.

Candidate requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in procurement management, with a focus on strategic sourcing and negotiation.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing advantageous terms and pricing.
• Excellent understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management principles.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Experience in risk assessment and contract management.
• Proficiency in using IT systems for procurement tracking and reporting.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
