How will you make an impact in this role?
Responsible for contacting clients with overdue accounts to secure the settlement of the account. Also they do preventive work to avoid future overdues with accounts that have a high exposure.
About the Role:
The Service Management (SM) team is responsible for supporting the ingestion, validation, and transformation of SOR data required for finance and regulatory reporting. This team has a holistic view of the data sources, processes, outputs and the ability to troubleshoot, triage operational issues and resolve problems interfaced through various system related to data intake, enrichment and ensuring timely delivery for downstream consumption.
This role focuses on Operational delivery, issue management process for Financial Data Management (FDM) spanning across multiple teams including intermediate systems like OFSAA, MEMSQL, EBNC, Kafka, RTF, Flink, Airflow, and Automic and working with various teams to implement, track and monitor open issues and problem tickets.
Responsibilities:
Support in documenting, tracking and resolving issues & changes impacting the FDM Operational processes. Prepare documentation, SOPs, dashboards, reporting and presentations.
Raising production incidents and driving issue resolution through tactical fixes, root cause analysis, permanent fixes.
Responsible for ensuring successful completion of all operational activities.
Retrieve and analyze the data from underlying analytical/operational databases to develop understanding.
Open to working over the week ends on a rotational basis.
Qualifications:
Production support knowledge.
Understanding of backend development.
Experience with American Express accounting and reporting processes, including financial and regulatory reporting would be a plus but not necessary.
Excellent communication, both written and verbal, facilitation and presentation writing skills.
Creative mindset; comfort working in undefined space and seizing new opportunities.
Experience working on a globally and culturally diverse team and supporting global processes.
Transformational approach to process efficiency and effectiveness.
Ability to handle a high-pressure environment and make decisions in challenging situations.
Strong SQL skill to query and analyze data are required
Understand automation opportunities to generate use cases within the team and get that implemented
Strong relationship building skills and ability to influence without direct control
Past Experience
2-4 years of experience in Business intelligence, Financial Reporting, issue management etc.
Minimum of 3 years in Production Support role.
Technical Skills/Capabilities:
Experience with Flink (in memory processing)
Experience writing SQL queries and table joins.
Prior experience with applications like mainframe, Kafka, RTF, OFSAA, Airflow, Automic etc is good to have but not mandatory.
Java experience
Proficient with MS Excel, Power-point, Mem-SQL, Putty etc
